Senior Account Executive Job Description

Who are we?

CRC is a London-based PR consultancy. Our small team delivers exceptional work for clients across financial services, professional services and tech, including comms strategy, media relations, thought leadership and content, quantitative research, social media and more.

We are looking for someone who…

  • Has two years’ experience in PR or Communications. Particularly suited to someone looking to take the step up to Account Manager in the near future.
  • Is willing to take the initiative and work independently where needed
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Is confident speaking to clients, sharing ideas and participating in/leading calls
  • Has a teamwork mentality and is willing to help out colleagues where needed
  • Will support the wider team on accounts, while also, in time, taking responsibility to ‘own’ some clients and drive those client retainers and projects forward
  • Above all else, brings a positive attitude and worth ethic. Personality is what matters most to us as a small agency, and we’re keen to work with people who have drive, enthusiasm and a team-first mindset.

The responsibilities

 This role will span multiple client retainers and projects. Tasks will include:

  • Client management
    • Responding to straight forward client queries (and escalating as required)
    • Joining and participating in client calls
    • Communicating upcoming and completed work to clients
    • Ensuring tasks are completed on time
  • Media relations & content development
    • Creating media lists
    • Monitoring for and logging coverage, sharing coverage with clients as needed
    • Creating content, including: thought leadership articles, press releases, social media posts, blogs, newsletter content, and more
    • Creating interview briefing documents
    • Identifying and creating comments for reactive PR opportunities
    • Pitching for thought leadership and profiling opportunities
    • Distributing press releases and industry commentary
  • Agency development and growth
    • Contributing content for CRC’s website and LinkedIn
    • Attending events and meetings with journalists to continually improve industry knowledge, broaden networks and build your own profile

As a small agency, we operate with a very flat structure whereby everyone is invited to share their views and have a say on how CRC is run, regardless of experience.

  • A salary of £30k-£34k (depending on experience)
  • 25 days holiday
